Dark Mercury knew that it would only be a matter of time before someone came to investigate what had just happened and drew deeply on her power before waving her hands, "Shabon Nightmare!"
A fog rose up from the earth until it covered the entire park. Dark Mercury picked up the bound figure of Sailor Moon and worked her way through the park, wanting to be sure her tracks were well concealed before she vanished away. As she walked, she saw the
park had a few dog walkers and early morning joggers that had been unfortunate to have been caught in her spell. Similar to her Shabon Spray this spell created a thick fog that only she and those she considered allies could see through. What made it even
worse though is the fact it would cause hallucinations and any other person they would be able to see would appear a shadowy monster, their words unintelligible growling.
The effect was quite pronounced with the dog walkers as their animals went feral in moments and attacked their handlers, pulling them down. Mercury considered these events but a taste of what was to come. Deciding she needed a place to hold out until Moon's
conversion was complete she entered a nearby subway entrance. A few looked like they had been in her fog but had managed to escape before their minds were completely broken. Dark Mercury's magic was truly formidable on those who had no magical protection.
Looking closely at the map, Dark Mercury could see that one line had been closed down for construction. Considering this the best place to hold up until the time was right Mercury left insects to skitter as they might and felt that her daring act had proved
far more effective than she had a right to hope for.
Reaching the tunnel, Dark Mercury could see that the place had lights put up and various tools lying around on the ground. Realizing Mercury had arrived during their rest hours, she cursed their luck. Getting to her task, Dark Mercury began covering the ground
with a thick sheet of ice and walled off each end. Taking the time to manipulate the lights left behind she had them project darkness so that any lights someone brought in less powerful than a road flare would be ineffective in illuminating their surroundings.
In complete darkness, Dark Mercury could still see her surroundings with perfect ease and the way the darkness from the darks flowed into her ice, into her, and most importantly into the bound figure of Usagi. Conditions were ideal and Dark Mercury was impressed
to see that Sailor Moon had yet to exit her cocoon. The length of time it took to convert a person was a true measure of their potential power and aid they could provide to the Darkness. Her Master would be quite pleased to have such a powerful handmaiden
and as the one who had converted her, Dark Mercury would be able to control the future Dark Moon to a certain extent. Wanting to be ready for that moment, Dark Mercury removed her dress, boots, and gloves so she was naked except for the black ribbon with
its blue rose around her neck.
