Pepper Potts could not believe the situation she was currently involved in. She had just been betrayed and turned over to a powerful telepath by her once trusted friend, SHIELD Agent Philip Coulson. She now found herself completely terrified at the thought
of what Zebediah Killgrave had in store for her.
"Miss Potts, I hope you know that I did not want to have to do any of this to you. But unfortunately for you, SHIELD had to get involved in my affairs. And when SHIELD gets into trouble, The Avengers are most likely going to get involved. As I understand,
your boyfriend Tony Stark is the driving force behind the team, and he also has the confidence of Bruce Banner. So right now, I am presented with an opportunity to eliminate Ironman and The Hulk as threats to my operation."
"And how exactly do I fit into the equation?"
"You are going to turn Banner and Stark against one another. When you return to New York, you are going to engage in an elicit affair with Mr Banner. And you are going to turn Banner against Stark in the process, unleash The Hulk again."
"Bruce has a very good handle on The Hulk. I don't know that he is going to allow the beast to take over."
"You are going to create a scenario that will force The Hulk out, and allow it to take control. You are going to make sure that Tony Stark catches you and Banner in the throws of passion. When Stark confronts Banner, you are going to program the automated
defense system at Stark Tower to attack Banner. This should create enough stress to allow The Hulk to take over."
"But he'll kill Tony."
"Yes, he probably will. And then the beast should go on quite the rampage, this will draw Thor away from Jane Foster long enough for me to take control of her mind and use her to eliminate the God of Thunder from my concerns."
Killgrave completed his mental reprogramming of Pepper Potts and sent her back to Stark Tower to complete his plan.
