Victoria Hand exited the passenger door and Phil Coulson exited the drivers door.

"Hand, Coulson, what's going on here?"

Victoria Hand answered, "Deputy Director Hill, we have been investigating multiple missing persons reports in the area.  Coulson's entire team has disappeared.  We believe that the disappearances are connected with the opening of a research lab owned by The Killgrave Corporation.  Agent May is currently investigating the lab."

A SHIELD armored transport arrived from a different direction, Maria Hill looked on suspiciously as over a dozen armed SHIELD agents exited the transport.

"What's this all about?"

Hand answered, "This is my team of Agents.  They are here to assist with the investigation.  They are going to escort us to the Killgrave labs and we are going to tear that place apart to try to find out what is going on here."

Hill and Coulson started to follow Hand back to the MDX when they both felt cold steel pressed against the back of their heads.  They heard a short burst of gunfire erupt.  Both of them quickly disarmed the gunmen behind them and drew their service pistols.  When they turned around they saw Hand's entire team with their weapons aimed at them and Hill's team dead on the ground.  Hill and Coulson both had no choice but to drop their weapons.

Coulson turned to Hand, "What is this about Victoria?  How long have you been playing both sides here?"

"Phil, I've only ever been playing one side.  My master has big plans for you two."

Before either of them could ask another question, they saw a tall man in a purple suit exit the SHIELD transport vehicle flanked by a much younger looking Melinda May.

"Mr Coulson, Miss Hill, my name is Zebediah Killgrave.  Your friend Victoria Hand here was very close to discovering the true purpose of my research facility, so I had to take control of her mind to protect my investment.  You'll find that I'm a very powerful telepath.  I have already reprogrammed your entire team.  Fitz has been quite useful helping me develop body modification tech.  Skye and Simmons have been sold into slavery, one can only imagine what is happening to those lovely young ladies as we speak.  Agent May is my personal slave and bodyguard, and Agent Ward has led Natasha Romanoff into a trap.  She is currently detained in my facility awaiting my arrival for her mental reprogramming."

Coulson tried to charge at Killgrave, but found himself unable to move.  "You're a monster."

"That may be Agent Coulson, but I'm the monster who has won.  I started as a guy who just wanted to make some money selling young girls as sex slaves, but then SHIELD had to get involved.  Now I have no choice but to bring down your organization to cover my tracks.  So Maria, you are going to come back to the lab with me, and we are going to do some experiments on you and make sure that no one recognizes you when I sell you.  And Agent Coulson, you are going to use your connections to help me bring down The Avengers.  First you are going to go to Stark Tower and you are going to deliver Pepper Potts to me."

"Yes master."

Coulson climbed onto Hill's Quinjet and started to fly to New York City and Stark Towers.

Maria Hill followed Killgrave, May and Hand back to the MDX and they started back to the lab.
