Skye slowly came to and found herself in a small room laying on a hospital bed. She sat up and took inventory of her situation. There was a large mirror built into one of the walls. Next to the mirror was a door with no handle or knob. Other than the bed,
there was no furniture in the room. The only other feature she saw was a small speaker built into the wall below the mirror.
Immediately she climbed off of the bed and started to look for something to use to pry open the door. When her search came up empty, Skye began to pound on the mirror in an effort to break through to the other side. After a few minutes, she collapsed on
the floor in exhaustion. Then a familiar voice came on through the speaker.
"Skye, I'd like to come into the room and speak with you for a moment. In order to guarantee my safety, you are going to sit on the bed with your hands folded on your lap."
Skye snapped back at Killgrave, "What makes you think I'm going to listen to anything you tell me, you son of a bitch?"
"It was not a request."
Skye was about to say something else when she realized that she was sitting on the edge of the hospital bed with her hands folded neatly on her lap. The door opened and she saw Killgrave enter the room.
"How did you do that?"
"Some time ago, I found that I had the ability to read and control minds. I have found several profitable uses for my special gift, and I was recently approached by someone who is paying very good money for compliant, young girls."
"So you're selling these girls as sex slaves?"
"No, I'm selling them to a broker. What he does with them is not my concern as long as the checks clear."
"You sick bastard, when my team finds you, Ward is going to tear you apart."
"That may be true, but by the time they find me, you will already be in the possession of my benefactor. Now let's begin....."
