NOTE: Because the line-up of the X-Men and where they live and work is changing about every six months or so, let's say this is set in an alternate universe where all the X-Men you can imagine are at the X-Mansion at the same time.

Emma Frost sighed as she closed the door behind herself. It wasn't that her day teaching at the Xavier Institute had been a particularly hard one - no matter how bratty those kids were, they were still better than having to take down a Sentinel. Or some sort of alien menace. Or - ugh! - Moloids; she shuddered a little, remembering how long it took her to smell like a human again after last time.

She shrugged her cape off her shoulders, and hung it on the back of the door. (It wasn't a practical piece of costume, but it made an impact. No-one wore capes any more, that's what people said - except Emma Frost. That was worth something.)

The package sitting on her bed took her by surprise. She didn't get a lot of mail these days. Opening the envelope, she pulled out a CD - hand-labelled, with Master PC scrawled across the front. Emma was puzzled for a moment, until she remembered her conversation with Kitty earlier in the day.

"Katherine, dear. You should know by now that I don't keep to a schedule. I teach classes when they are needed, no sooner."

"Emma, we're a school. You can't just teach... you know what? Never mind. If I send you some software, will you put it in yourself? That way you don't have to tell me, or anyone else."

Of course. Kitty's software. Emma slipped the CD into her laptop, and started up the program. She'd always intended to send Kitty her schedule, but confrontation brought out the bitch in her. And there was just something about Kitty that got on her nerves, even more than Jean -

Emma's train of thought was broken by a window popping up on her screen.

Welcome to Master PC, Emma. Would you like to view the tutorial before you begin using the program?

The program knowing her name was a nice touch, she thought. Master PC still seemed like an odd name for administration software, but given that the girl had called herself Ariel, Sprite, and Shadowcat clearly naming things wasn't top of her list of skills. Emma reached for the mouse, and clicked
