Venom was tempted to swing away, but she chose to wait. She had some recollection and memories of spiderman when she used to be with him. She knew that he was a suitable host for her but, she just doesn't want her. Venom list out a variety of females that Peter once met. Realizing that Peter is now single after he broke up with MJ, she could choose any of the girls. But she knew that MJ is her best bet if she want to get close to Peter. But wouldn't that be too easy?
