The staff gleamed, even behind the layers of protective glass. Two women stood in the doorway, one with long green hair, the other's hair short and brown - SHIELD agents in regulation jumpsuits.

"Remind me again," the green-haired woman sighed, "why we're stuck guarding this stick when we could be out, you know, doing our jobs?"

"You know perfectly well why you're here, Agent Brand. Green hair? Really? You thought that would pass inspection?"

"Well, OK. I know why I'm here. But what about you, Daisy?"

"That's Special Agent Johnston now. Got promoted after the thing in New York. And I like being down here. The quiet is nice."

"Right. Got it. And the stick?"

"Some magic space staff or something. Fury wants it watched, Fury gets it wat- who's there?"

The locks on the doors were lighting up. Someone was coming in. Agent Johnson turned to Agent Brand. "Anyone meant to be inspecting the stick?" Brand shook her head. Both women drew their guns, aimed them at the doors.

The doors slid open - but who was standing there?
