As Sue and Reed strode up the long walkway to the Mayor’s home, they couldn’t help but be impressed by the grandeur of the old Victorian mansion.  This house was obviously the former estate of some wealthy tycoon of the old west. Visions of balls and galas replete with belles in elegant gowns and gentlemen in regal finery danced in Sue’s mind as she tried to picture the place early in its life.

The walk from the street was over 100 yards of vibrant gardens.  Jasmine and hibiscus provided color while their scents tantalized the hero’s senses. The sensory overload kicked their erotic feelings even higher, as if this town needed the help in that regard. On either side of the walkway were large marble fountains, each lined with marble benches. Intricate carvings of cherubs bearing instruments and flowers graced the elegant statuary.

As the couple looked over the lush garden, the lady of the house looked down from her foyer window. Evil glee spread across her face as she purred “Enjoy the view without regret. There’s no reason to worry or fret. Open minds and hearts set free; you have no use for jealousy. Let down your guard; in me you can trust. There’s no shame to express your lust.”

As the spell wove over the unsuspecting heroes, Sue could see subtle changes in the carvings. Where there once were innocence and light, now she saw carnal delight. The more she looked, the more she saw the carvings from the cave itself. The beautiful woman closed her eyes and shook her head in disbelief, but when she opened her eyes, all was as it was before. She had to chuckle to herself as she thought that this wonderful little town was working its magic on the big city couple yet again. As horny as she was, she couldn’t wait to get her man back to the hotel to take advantage it.

As Reed and Sue admired the view a call from the porch greeted them “Lovely, isn’t it? These gardens have been the envy of this town for almost two centuries.” As Reed turned with a puzzled look, their hostess had to chuckle. Of course the most brilliant man on the planet would know that would make this house 20 years older than the period its style is taken from, but the truth of the story was worth the telling as she purred “No need to be perplexed, Reed. There is a rational explanation, but before we get into that, this lovely woman must be your sweet wife, Susan.” The strikingly beautiful mayor reached out for the heroine’s hand, but when Sue accepted the hand, Lynda pulled her into a warm and oddly erotic hug and continued “So nice to meet you Sue. You’ll come to appreciate how openly affectionate people are here. Here in Harem, we are much closer to our pioneer roots which makes us very expressive.”

Sue found herself oddly enjoying the warm embrace and couldn’t help but hub back as she replied “Umm, yes.. Yes, I’m Reed’s wife Sue. Thank you, madam Mayor, for inviting us to your home. Its... Magnificent!”

Reed was beside himself as he watched the beautiful women entwined in each other’s arms. To anyone else, it looked like dear friends who haven’t seen each other in an age greeting each other, but to Reed, it looked like a stripper show. His mind slipped into what would have looked like sans clothes and he nearly came in his pants.

As the mayor leaned back she smiled seductively and purred “My, Ms. Heroine, that was awfully formal. Come hun, you can do it. My name is Lynda. Try it out!”

Sue returned a sheepish grin as she answered “Of course, Lynda. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” As Sue looked into the lovely woman’s eyes, she could swear she saw more than friendly interest. Those eyes positively danced with erotic delight. Normally she would have backed away from the woman and set her, ever so politely, straight on the her status as a very straight and happily married woman, but somehow, the heroine was almost intoxicated with the attention of the lovely lady. So much so she was completely unaware of Reed’s reaction to the Mayor or their interaction.

The world’s greatest genius was practically drooling at the erotically enticing scene before him. The two most beautiful women in his universe, together in a hot girl on girl embrace. He could see them naked in his mind. The vision called to him so he almost joined in, but he quickly regained control of himself. Unlike before, he felt not even the slightest shame in the vision, but his mind was the strongest on the planet. He felt it would upset Sue, which he would never do; not even to know the pleasure of being with the intoxicating mayor. Now if his beautiful wife were into it and volunteering for a three way, that would be a very different thing. His powerful mind was able to resist his primal urges, but even he was not above enjoying those same baser instincts.

As Lynda released her embrace, she hooked arms with the adventures and began her tour of her residence “This property has been in my family for centuries; far longer than this grand old home has stood. You see, the families of most of the people here were among the first to come to America in search of religious freedom. Some came to Plymouth, some to Jamestown, New Amsterdam, and the list went on and on. Everyone knows the Puritans and Quakers, but they were not all the religions to seek freedom in the New World. There were Druids, Wiccans, and users of various mystic powers. There were witches, warlocks, sorcerers, sorceresses, Elementalists, and Alchemists. They came from every corner of Europe hoping to escape the growing Christianity, but with the events of the Salem Witch Trials, they knew that hope was lost. Quietly they left the communities that they helped build and headed west, long before the age of covered wagons. Almost as if they were drawn here by some magic magnet, they found their way here.”

Reed’s curiosity couldn’t be held back any longer as he asked “They traveled this far west in the 1690s? That is something not covered in any history books,”

When Lynda turned to face Mr. Fantastic, it was Sue’s turn to admire the woman’s curvy body. Sue was never into other women and the mayor’s spell would not cause something like that. Hell, the spell’s effects would wear off by dawn anyway, but for now both Sue and Reed were each enjoying the flirtatious nature of Harem’s first citizen. The beautiful brunette smiled wryly as she replied “Oh, the list of events never captured or conveniently omitted from the pages of history is a long one, my friend, but I’m sure you have seen this before. Of course, each group had at least one seer so they only dealt with the Native Americans that would give them free passage. After all, their religions are similar in respect for Mother Earth. In any case, by the time the Easterner’s felt the itch of their ‘manifest destiny’, my ancestors had carved out a living in small outposts spanning a thousand square miles all about this area.”  Mayor Fay led the heroes in a wide turning view of her lovely gardens as she continued “This property has been handed down through my maternal line for over 300 years. The first settlers were all practitioners of a very special kind of magic. Oh, they certainly knew how to manipulate the lush nature around them.  They had crops that were the envy of all that passed through as well as herbal gardens for every conceivable use, but that isn’t all. This very field was their crowning glory. It was their garden of worship. Here the forces of nature were kept in perfect balance for their mystic celebrations. Here, as legend has it, they practiced their greatest magic and it’s told that they were most skilled in more… erotic forms of occult arts.”

Even through the spell, Sue’s attention was drawn to the last statement. She knew this had something to do with the old block house and her visions. But if this were the center of their activities, then what was the cave beneath the block house? There was more going on here and information she needed. Sue looked back at the home and thought out loud “So the mansion was built later, but from the look at it, I would expect it to be the estate of a railroad or mining tycoon.”

Mayor Fay smiled broadly as she replied “Oh yes, the house was built 150 years after my ancestors settled this land but this was never the land of a robber baron. My family had amassed a good amount of money, but not like you would think. You see, this estate was not originally built as a home, per say. Even in the earliest days of Harem, there was a trading post here and we did make money on our ‘home remedies’ and other mystic concoctions. Frontiersmen and local tribes payed in furs and other fruits of the land, but that wasn’t our main business. Our stock and trade was, well, sex. By the time the California gold rush hit, we were already well established. We were the best kept secret of old west and everyone from prospectors to senators knew their way here. That’s the money from that built this monument to the erotic arts. It was our grand bordello.”

Soon, Lynda led her guests into the great house and the heroes were awed at the opulent setting. Old hardwood made up the floors, beams, and paneling of the well-kept mansion; however here in the grand foyer, finest polished marble lined the floor and the staircases. Two curved stairways lined by redwood railings wound their way up to the second story viewing gallery; all well lit by the huge crystal chandelier. Beautiful paintings of old west vistas tastefully graced the walls.

As Sue took in the view, a rather stately, well dressed man approached the guest and stated “Good evening. I am Lenard, Madam Mayor’s Chief of Staff. You, of course, are quite well known to all. Welcome to the Nirvana House. Our staff has prepared a sumptuous dining experience for you.”

As Sue took in the view, she found herself imagining this place in its early life. Men, from prospectors to tycoons standing in the foyer as scandalously dressed saloon girls beckoned from the balcony above. To her left she saw a lavish saloon with a long bar, stage, and gaming tables all packed with ladies and their erstwhile suitors. To her right was a formal parlor where gentlemen waited for the upscale ladies of pleasure to escort them to private suites. It was a heady vision so real she could almost touch it, but there was more than that. The scene was so familiar. It was more than the feeling that she had been here. It was as if she belonged here; like it was once her home.

As Sue reached for the heavy wooden doors that lead to the saloon in her dream, a gentle hand took her arm. As she turned to see, Lynda’s sexy smile greeted her gaze “Sue, the dining hall is this way. Besides, you wouldn’t be interested in that room.”

The heroine couldn’t resist probing the situation and asked “Really? I would imagine every room in this house has a story to tell. Why not that room?”

Lynda laughed “Oh, you are so right about that, hun. In the beginning that was the Gold Star Saloon; home of dancing girls, cowboys, gaming tables, and fine stage shows. Up until the early 1900s, there were some of the best vaudeville shows this side of the Mississippi! Later, burlesque graced that stage up until the late 50s. That was when my Grandmother converted it to the family library. All sorts of books of every sort, but there are also the diaries of each of my family members all the way back to the first settlers.”

Reed smiled as he asked “I would imagine that would be a lot of diaries. If that wasn’t the library until the 50s, where they kept before then?”

Lynda drew Reed in close as she purred “Oh, it took up half of the basement back then, but Grandma needed the space for her alchemy lab.”

Reed stopped in his tracks as he focused solely on their hostess “Really? How fascinating! Is it still there? Is it intact? Since we first met Diablo, I have been researching alchemy.”

The Mayor smiled broadly as she replied “Why yes, Reed, it is. I loved my Grandma so much I couldn’t bring myself to take it down. I spent so much time with her while she taught me all about her arts. It was a treasured childhood memory. After dinner I could show you the lab. Would you like that Reed?”
