After Pepper had left the Lift she thought about what she could do with this Evening. Looking into her Filo Fax she saw that it was one of this rare Days where she had all the time she wanted to do things for herself. With Tony away she suddenly noticed how few Friends she had. She noticed that she was in her best age and had almost no private Life. All she had was her Work and Tony. And Tony meant to be the most of her Work. Unbelievable how many Problems a single Men could create if he was a Man like Tony. Missing Meetings, ignoring the Company and risking every Life on the Planet every third Thursday. Sitting in her Living Room she counted her female Friends. Susan Storm-Richards. Yeah great. Every time both of them wanted to do something the Planet was attacked by something sinister. Jennifer Walters was too someone too she could maybe call a Friend but she was busy with her Work right now. On the other Side were the Woman inside the Avengers Team. Strangely she didn’t like any of them very much. Sure she tried to be friendly to them but she had always a strange fear that they would try to take Tony away from him. Maybe this was a stupid Idea but she knew Tony´s dark side too. Woman like Carol Denver’s and Janet van Dyne were beautiful Woman and had stunning Bodies. Something a former Playboy like Tony would notice.
Only Natasha Romanov was an Exception for this Fear. It was a funny fact that just the living Wet Dream of any Men was the only one she trusted inside the Team. Natasha would never start something with a Men like Tony. She maybe was a former Spy and maybe she had used her amazing Body to get Information but she would never ever do something like that. Finally she had it.
She took her Phone out of her Bag and called Maria Hill´s number. The number two in Command of S.H.I.E.L.D. was a Woman like herself. Work first then Life. But sadly she wasn’t home so Pepper sat alone in the Penthouse and tried to distract herself with watching Television. As always it didn’t help very much because she had never been a friend of TV. Maybe she should go to bed early she thought just as her Phone rang.
“Hey there Pepper. Sorry. Was under the Shower. Is something?” she heard the Voice of Maria Hill.
“Nothing in common Maria. Just wanted to ask you if you have time today.” She asked.
“Mhm. What do you have in Mind? I have no duty today at least if nothing happens. So yes. I would like to do something.” Maria sounded happily. Pepper knew that their Situations were quite similar. At least Pepper had Tony from time to time but she didn’t know if Maria had a Boyfriend.
“I don’t know. We could watch a Movie. How about the new Superman vs Batman Movie?”
“REALLY? Pepper are you Nuts?” Maria Hill laughed loud. “When I am informed right you sleep with one of these Super Heroes and I have to work with this Idiots the whole day and now you want me to watch a Movie with this Idiots?”
“But Maria…. Henry Cavill in a skin tight Costume!” Pepper answered joking.
“Oh… mhm… Yes... This could be a good Movie!” Maria laughed at the joke.
“Or we could ignore Hollywood and just take a walk through the Central Park?” Pepper suddenly said and had no real Idea where that came from. But it was a wonderful night, the full moon standing proudly in the Sky. Maybe it could be fun to walk through the Park with Maria. With her she didn’t need to fear anything in the Park. Even without any Abilities Maria Hill was a dangerous Woman. Sometimes Pepper wasn’t sure who was more Dangerous. Natasha or Maria. It sure had Reasons that Nick Fury trusted her fully.
“You mean like to Lesbian´s in Love?” answered the S.H.I.E.L.D. Commander in a mocking Way.
“Mhm I don’t know. Maybe it was a stupid Idea.” Pepper said suddenly unsure but Maria laughed even louder now.
“Did I hit a nerve? I didn’t know that you dreamed of me!” she said mockingly.
“Sometimes I don’t understand what Nick sees in you Maria.”
“He has a sense of Humour!” Maria countered and proved her sharp Tongue.
“Do we talk about the same Nick Fury?” Pepper asked.
“He has a very complex sense of Humour. But I could be there in 20 Minutes. Or do we want to meet at the Park?”
“Let us meet here. Then we take a Drink and chose what we want to do.”
After she had put down the Phone Pepper couldn’t get the Park out of her Mind. It had been Years that she had been there. She wondered who he had changed. Stark Industries and Fantastic Enterprises had spent billions to make the Park a better Place and to repair it each time it was destroyed by the Hulk or something similar. Maybe she should have waited until Tony´s return to visit it but on the other side why should she? If she wanted to take a walk in the Park she could do it if she wanted. Why had she always to wait for Tony? The more she thought of the Park the more she loved the Idea to wander around in the Woods. She had always been a Girl of the City but a look out of the Window showed her the majestic Green of the Woods. She smiled as she stared at the blue Water of the Sea surrounded by the Woods. But she had to admit that she was a bit scared right now. The Park wasn’t a safe Place for a good looking Woman like her. She had never learned to defend herself alone and she was afraid what could happen when some People would try something there. But with Maria on her Side she felt save and protected. Maybe the Reputation of the Park wasn’t that bad. Maybe it was just the usual Shit of the local News that each day a Woman was attacked there. She couldn’t believe that something as beautiful as this Park could be such a dangerous Place.
After 30 Minutes she stood in front of the Entrance of the Park and smiled at Maria at her Side. Maria wore a simple Dress but had her Desert Eagle hidden under her Jacket. It was fascinating how such a beautiful Woman could handle a Weapon like this. Pepper couldn’t even hold the Pistol that looked even in Steve´s Hand strangely small. But she knew that Maria could handle this Pistol like an extension of her own Body. Standing in front of the Park she felt her Heart beating stronger. How could it be that she had never saw such beauty?
Both Maria and Pepper didn’t noticed the Car that had followed them and parked close to them. Inside the Three Mind Controller were unsure how to act now. That Pepper Pots was here was a clear Prove that the Suggestion had worked but that Maria Hill was with her was a great Problem. The Combined Power of the three could be enough to take the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent down but they didn’t knew what Maria Hill had with her that maybe could dispel the Mind Control Powers. Mesmero saw a Possibility to infiltrate the Heli Carrier as well but the rest of the Team wasn’t so sure about it. It was true that Mesmero´s Hypnotic Powers were amazing but it was necessary that his victim would look into his Eyes. And Maria Hill wouldn’t do him this Favour.
