29 days til the reapers arrive.
It has been 5 months since commander Shepard turned himself in to the alliance for blowing up a mass relay resulting in the deaths of 300,000 Batarians. Delaying the reaper threat wasn't a good enough excuse to stop the Batarians from seeking retribution and
the alliance was forced to ground Shepard on earth until further notice to avoid a diplomatic incident, though it still may not have been enough to satisfy the four eyed race.
The stress of the ongoing trials as well as the nightmares of Kelly melting in the collector stasis pods before Shepard could get it open has taken a tole on the spacer.
Shepard woke up from another nightmare to the sound of his terminal ringing he has a call.
