First things first – they needed a sample of the drug that
Tina had given her that first night. There was no need to use the perception
filter this time.
It was a simple matter for Reed to send surveillance drones
to the club where Sue had met the pimp, locate him and Tina then send Sue,
invisible, to secure the drug. It was unusual for the Invisible Woman to use
her years of stealth training to infiltrate such a squalid and mundane setting,
but it had been easy enough to enter the club, avoid contact with any of the
patrons, sneak over to the booth where Slick and Tina were talking quietly, and
reach into Tina’s bag when their attention was on each other.
Sue couldn’t help but stare at the bulge in Slick’s pants

What’s surprising is how it interacts with your cosmically altered biology. For
some reason, the effects on you are a hundred times greater than for normal
humans. The pleasure is incredibly intensified, and it seems there’s a direct
link to the part of your brain dealing with moral decision making. Basically,
doing things that you consider to be bad, will make you feel incredibly
aroused. This in turn will flood your system with powerful endorphins, causing
intense euphoria.”
Sue tried to contain her impatience. “Yes, but we knew all
this already. Can you synthesize it? And is it addictive?”
“Not on normal humans, no. But the pleasurable sensations
are so intense for you that your desire to experience them again would be almost
overpowering.”
“Well that’s certainly true. I need to feel that way again,
and soon. I feel like I’ll go mad if I don’t.”
“But we must proceed with caution. The risks of linking
sexual pleasure with morally questionable choices are obvious. We must test it
carefully, beginning with very small doses. Too strong a dose and we could
create a runaway effect, with your desire to experience greater and greater sexual
pleasure causing you to consider increasingly immoral acts. We don’t want
another Malice on our hands!”
Reed knew that he should have nothing to do with any of this,
but he felt a great deal of guilt about the fact that he had neglected his wife
so badly. It was bad enough that she’d been driven by her repressed needs to
fantasize about a life as a whore, but thanks to one of his own devices, she’d
fallen into her present predicament. He had to make it up to her as best he
could, and if this was the only way, then so be it.
“Please Reed. I need it. I need it so badly.” She laid a
hand on his arm and he felt it tremble. He looked in her eyes and could see
despair and a yearning hunger. With a sigh, he stood up and began preparing to
