Mindy Church was head of Intergang, a criminal enterprise which was run by her elderly husband Bill Church Sr. till he wanted to go start. So she and her stepson, Bill Church Jr. had betrayed him... before she betrayed Junior. She had ruthlessly taken over all the crime in Metropolis afterwards, avoiding the law and Superman by using her attractive appearance and the stereotype of the "dumb blonde".
However, she knew she could not avoid the long arm of the law and the longer arm of the Superman forever. She needed insurance to avoid being sent to jail with her 'beloved' Billy. Which was why she looking for any edge she could use. It explained why she had paid the thieves before her to dig up and old body for a ring. With the money she was paying them and the threats she had on them, they made sure the ring went from the ground to her ring finger.
Milton Stonefellow was a wealthy man in the nineteenth century who was said to have affairs with the sexy women in Metropolis of his day. No one knew the source of his power, till Mindy had managed to find a copy of his journal in old antique cabinet which had been locked and sold in an estate auction. The fact he held the Ring of Truth, which made anything he wrote or said while wearing it come true. A ring he had buried with him. A ring she had men dig up and was now on her finger.
Making sure everyone was out of her office, she started her master plan, "I know everything about Superman. From secret identity, to strength and powers, to weaknesses... every secret he has."
Knowledge followed through her mind as she saw Superman's life as if it was a film or television series. Including...
"So Superman is secretly Clark Kent, the husband of Lois Lane-Kent. Explains why Kent was 'doing' Superman's laundry and why Superman was in bed with Lane. Plus Clarkie is weak against forms of mind control and especially magic. Great.
Now with my little magic ring, I think I can soon build a partnership with Superman. Plus with that body, I think I might want it to be a more... personal and hands on relationship. If I do that, should I keep him married or have Clarkie be a bad boy and cheat on his wife?
Still, what new truth should I make?" asked Mindy as she lit a cigar and started to puff on the huge Churchill.
