Adriana Soria was not just linked with arachnids but insects as well. She gained this power from the insect gene which had the ability to create a subspecies of human, Homo Insectus. It was believed one third or about thirty three percent of the population had the gene. Yet the facts was the Queen was relatively new to her powers, so could control only one of a number of insect genes which together took closer to ninty nine percent of the population.

Spider-man was special in that he had all of the insect genes in his genetic make up, which made him the perfect choice for the next in line for the royalty of the bug world. Which would automatically give him the powers of Insect Control and Telepathy the Queen held, allowing for control of spiders and insects as well as those with the genes in the human population as well as the telekinesis she also held... especially in manipulating the bodies of thoses with the insect genes.

The mystical forces combined with the scientific powers within Spider-man, caused by the radioactive merging of genes and enzymes into the natural insect genes within Peter Parker. Which was creating a transformation which was turning Peter Parker, the friendly neighbour Spider-man into...
