Bruce Wayne shivered as he sat in the Batcave, glancing nervously at all the shadows.

For some reason he had felt so frightened that day... terrified at every sound, every shadow. Was it just his imagination or was he smaller than usual? Small and weak. Everything was so scary. There could be all sorts of people trying to get him: Joker, Scarecrow, Bane, and worse.

Bruce sobbed. He was so small and weak; he needed someone to protect him. Someone strong to keep him safe.

"Bruce, are you okay?"

"Dick!"

Dick would keep him safe!
