Mary Jane stepped into the most expensive dress shop in New York. She wasn't going to buy anything of course, she couldn't afford it. She was just window shopping. Hopefully something would -- "Ah, Madame Osborn, so nice to see you!" Norma Jane Osborn -- "NJ" to her friends -- smiled at the fawning clerk. "Has my special order come in?" she asked. "Oh, oui, oui. Hold on a minute." NJ Osborn smiled as the man hurried off. Sure it was a lot of money, more than some people made in a year, but she could afford it. What was the point of being rich and successful if you couldn't flaunt it. She idly drummed her nails against a table as she thought of Peter Park, Spider-Man. He'd foiled the plans of Queen Goblin so many times that she'd want to kill him dead -- except he was just so cute! She couldn't bring herself to snuff that adorable boy.
