She added the program to her smart phone and added a few commands as well, before rewinding the time to the point in time she wanted. Moments later, she was in place with her phone and with Lois no longer a potential lover but a close best friend. As time began again, she listen to Clark speak.
"So, what's next?"
She remember her part in this situation as they hunted for the Warrior Angel comic which her father had cursed. She spoke up again and moved into the store room, "Sorry, my locator spell wasn't more accurate. Like I said, I need all the help I can get. He should be... close?"
"I guess ycan't expect magic to be an exact science." answered Clark as they continued to look.
She chuckles at this turn of phrase and speaks again on cue, "Was that a clever play on words? Wonderful wit and sparkling theatrics. Mr. Blur's really upped his game."
Clark must have used his X-ray vision to zoom in on the crates hidding the comic as he replied, "Found it."
"I always knew you were packing some heavy artillery under that tie, but... seeing through walls--- now, that's a showstopper."
"All in a day's work, I guess."
She remember the conversaion of the disillusionment of their careers as heroes and their great powers. She continued it, "Wait, With powers like yours, how can you possibly say 'All in a day's work' ?"
"I don't really think about it. Just being like this is almost like breathing now. And with a gift like that comes responsibilities."
"Exactly. I've spent so much time trying to do what's right that I guess I haven't had any time for anything but reality. Now, these people out here with their capes, I don't know--- they just don't get it. That..."
"Right there with you. Magic, fantasy-- it's all in a day's work. Day in, day out. When did everyone else's fantasies have become so... normal."
"I suppose even the illusionist can become disillusioned. But, hey, at least you have that fiery space tropper to stargae with at the end of the day." She knew she was taking about Lois, but now was the moment of truth.
"No. Lois is just a close friend, like family. Not sure what kind, likely the kind which you love and get annoyed with at the same time. But definately not a girlfriend. Most of my romantic relationships these days are kept at arm's length."
"You're afraid that if you let that spark ignite, you're gonna get burned again."
"Right now, everthing is under control."
"Fantasy isn't about being in control, and fire... doesn't aways have to burn, you know. Maybe what you need is a tiny moment of true fantasy to remind you what sparks are all about. Doom eht tes." As she said this , hundreds of white wax candles appeared lit with flames creating romantic lighting.
Clark moved back as she stalked him into the position she wanted. He answered who, "I'm good, thanks."
She stalked him as this was a test, as last time his true love for Lois caused him to over come her magic, but this time should be different if the Master PC was powerful enough. She continued the lead up, "No. No, you're not. Sparks lead to flames, and fire is what keeps us aive. Now... Wolf eht htiw og!"
She kissed him as he returned it as they moved to a nearby chair. Clar removing his overcoat and sitting, as she sat on him with her legs open as they continued to kiss passionately. Like before, a few second before he stopped. She waited for the next step to see if this was a success.
