A lesson learned the hard way...

'Thanks to my friend and Lex backmailing me... I have been testing my power. It seems the amulet is sight-based, as long as someone can see it they fall under it's spell. Amazing me and my father never discovered this. It means it will never work over the phone... but to use it while on television, recording a video or in a video chat will work like a charm.' thought Simone as she plotted to do just that, while making potential future plans. Where she stood before a screen with Lex on it. She started things with a, "Mr. Luthor.".
"Welcome, Simone. Don't you look delectable this evening." was the handsome young bald man.
Simone decided to start flirting to disarm him, "Do I ever get to meet the billionaire boy wonder face to face?"
He responded with some humor, "Well, as much as I'd like to admire you up close and personal, I prefer to hold on to my free will. How is your progress?"
Simone then made a crack on how Lana and Clark were no more. Then Lex asked about Clark's secrets... which were now her property and she was not going to let Lex take what was hers. Anymore then she was going to let him blackmail her more then she had to. She even told him how he was to stay out of her life from now on, without the amulet. Only to be given a new job, which made her realize Lex was not going to let anyone who could do what she could go.
'Time for plan B then...' she thought as she replied to him.
She fingered her amulet and brought Lex's eyes to it, as his face changed to resemble the look those under it's power got. She then spoke, "I don't work for you anymore Lex. You work for me. You're gonna believe everything I tell you and you're gonna do everything I say. Starting now."
"Yes, Boss. What can I do for you?"said Lex, eager and willing to follow her lead now. Proving the amulet could work as long as one could see the actual artifact, no matter how good the picture since she guessed he might not being willing to get a good one in case what just happened... happened.
"Here's the deal, Lex. You're going to leave me, Clark and all of my friends alone unless I say otherwise. One of the exceptions is all of those big parties with those big fat rich people with those huge wallets or those celebrities. So I can convince them to donate to Simone. You're also going to pay me a half-million a year as a consultant. Plus you're going to give me ten million dollars to make little Lana yours, since I'm guessing that's another reason for the break up.
Also no matter the method of how I contact you, you will do what I want without question or hesitation. Understand, Lexie." she gave commands as she plotted her perfect life. She prepared her bank accounts, even as she knew Clark was preparing the next part.
