Airachnid was hungry. At least, she chose to interpret the cold, agonizing emptiness in her spark chamber as hunger, since the only way to soothe it was to drain another Transformer of their Energon. And now that she had drained every last drop from every last one of her Insecticon soldiers, she could not satisfy her hunger. At first she had raged; at Silas for turning her into an undead freak, at Soundwave for stranding her on this desolate moon, and ultimately, at herself.

She had to admit that she deserved this. Having spent years hunting organic lifeforms for sport, she was now suffering like any predator who had taken too much prey. Unlike, a flesh-creature though, the relief of death was not forthcoming.

"I suppose this is what I get for emulating organics," she muttered to herself out loud.

"I wouldn't say that," said a voice behind her.

Airachnid whirled, hope surging, and then being quashed. Though clad in Autobot red, the speaker was no Transformer, but a human, and thus unable to satisfy her hunger. Once, she would've taken pleasure in killing the fleshling, but after slaughtering all those Insecticons, she'd had her fill. And any distraction from ehr hunger was welcome.

"Who are you?" she demanded to know. "And what do you mean?"

"I'm Santa Claus," the human said. "And what I meant was, your problem wasn't emulating organic behavior, but emulating the wrong kind. Things would've gone smoother if you'd chosen to imitate procreation rather than predation."

Airachnid snorted. "Are you offering?"

"Ho ho ho!" Santa laguhed. It was a nice sound, and made her feel a bit better. "No my dear. I was thinking of a nice young man named Jack Darby."

Airachnid frowned. "Jack? Arcee's clever pet human? Hmm...I suppose if one had to mate with a human, he wouldn't be so bad; he's smarter than some bots I've known. But why would I?"

Santa smiled. "In exchange for being cured of your vampirism, perhaps?"

Airachnid glared at him. "I'd do ANYTHING for that. But it can't be done so why...wait. I'm not hungry! You...you cured me?"

Santa nodded, smiling.
