Stark, common sense overridden by the knowledge that he could have stopped this, looked over his artifacts.
"...Not the Gauntlet," he said. "Too much chance of me losing control. Need something more stable, more..." His eyes fell onto the CD containing the Master PC. He pulled it out and inserted it into his main computer, uploading it into all his systems. In a surprisingly short while, it was uploaded to all of his computer systems and all of his armors.
"Jarvis," he said to his office's central computer. "Activate Master PC. Holographic interface, like my regular systems. Audio interaction."
"Master PC online, sir," the computer, named after his loyal butler, said.
The disturbingly detailed holographic interface came up, showing a detailed history of Tony Stark, as well as all of his physical stats, including likability, intelligence, and others. Next to the bio interface were more options, including historical events, files on other people, and various other options. Stark began walking around the room and examining the details. "Recent history:newsworthy events," he said.
The display shifted, showing viewscreens of various situations tha thad happened in the past. He quickly found the attack on the Jean Grey school, and frowned. "Erase event: Jean Grey School attack. Replace with the following: nothing of note happened that day. Classes proceeded as normal, regular interactions. Leave my memory unaltered, but change memories of all else involved and all witnesses accordingly."
"Acknowledged," Jarvis said, the image of the day's attack on the Jean Grey school disappearing from the display of noteworthy events.
Stark nodded, satisfied. "Okay... Okay, this is good..." He turned... and noticed a viewscreen showing the Civil War.
He stared at it for a long moment. It had gone so badly... The one good thing he could say about it is that Superman was off-planet at the time, fighting Sentry. If he had gotten involved...
He shook his head, clearing it of the bad thought. He stared at the image... and closed his eyes, coming to a decision.
"Jarvis... Erase event: Civil War. Replace with the following: Iron Man successfully convinces all active superheroes to register with the Superhuman Registration Act, uniting all in one big SHIELD-backed Justice League. Change all memories save mine to match the new sequence of events..." he said softly.
"Acknowledged," Jarvis said. The image vanished, and Iron Man watched as a new history asserted itself. Cap was alive, no heroes were killed... he didn't sic nanotech-controlled supervillains on his own people... On his desk, his Avengers communicard changed into a Justice League communicard.
"Remarkable..." he said softly. He grinned. "What else can I do to make things better?"
