A.I.M. had been experimenting on creating a better cosmic cube. Something which would remain loyal through out the lifetime of the Cube. Including when the Cube was to take it's adult physical form. They had lucked into the creation of what their Scientist Supreme had called "The Companion Cube". Current readings showed the cube was altered. Instead of a white cube with a blue/yellow core it was now white with pink/red core.

 "Scientist Supreme. When a person is to touches the cube, the cube will instant mature into it's adult form. A side effect.

 But it will become a composite of all the wielder's desires, known or unknown, but with the full power of the cube's reality warping power. Basically it can use any power, skill or ability. The new companion will love and desire their new master, wanting to make them happy and fulfill their desires.

 Even with the perfect we have created, we are doing some additional test to see if their are no other side effects to this new breed of cube and..." the head of the project was interrupted by the alarm going off.

 The Scientist Supreme leader of the Branch of A.I.M. turned to his head of security, who answered, "We have an intruder. Likely someone has leaked our location to a hero, who is here to stop this. Or a villain, seeking to gain our rewards for free. We have our forces going after them. We have locked down the cube and activated our protection against it being taken. What are your orders, sir?"

 "Can we get an image of who it is? So we can deploy our special tactical devices against them?" asked their leader.

 Security turned to his mobile phone which monitored it all. "Grave news sir..."
