Avalon was busy with activity, feeling
bored and unentertained the king and queen of the island decided to throw a
ball and gather the residents for a night of festivities. In the great hall
sprites and tiny magical beings danced through the air while enchanted musical
instruments floated and played, filling the hall with beautiful music. The
beings there however… Were less then festive, bored and uninterested the many
beings stood about nibbling at food and making small talk that would make the
living drop dead. “Ah these never get old… Because we don’t.”
“Well said Coyote, more wine?”
The weirding sisters huffed in the
corner, sharing small talk that went on for many hours, clearly drunk in the
hopes of letting the festival end like a blur. A blur that came with a flash of
light when Puck zipped through Oberon’s palace, surprising the fae king and
queen when he circled around the group of fairies and demi-gods, choosing to
hide under their throne for safety, scrunched up like a terrified and shivering
puppy.
“Puck… care to explain yourself?”
“No!”
“Puck…”
“NO! This is the safest place in the
world, no one dumb enough, crazy enough, or stupid enough or scary enough would
barge through here and cause a scene.”
“But YOU can do so and hide under our
chairs? Poppycock!”
Standing and making their throne
disappear over the terrified fairy, Oberon and Titannia glowered and fumed
until Puck relented. “Odin went to get his eye back but it failed and now he’s
dead and the gargoyles are dragons terrorizing New York!”
“… And?” Still upset yet not about the Norse
god the pair of fairy royalty crossed their arms, a bored look on both their
faces. Biting his nails Puck conjured a floating television to appear into the
hall and turned it on to a channel depicting what was going on in the city… Or
what was left of it. The city was in flames with smoke billowing up in the sky
where dozens if not hundreds of dragons flew and circled. On the roofs and
streets many more dragons ate, mated or relieved themselves, some even laying eggs
in clutches over the ruined buildings like nests. But what really caught the
fae’s attention were the seven massive dragons that ruled the entire flock,
each one more twisted then the last they were at the head of the rampage,
mating with wild abandon and sending the remains of the city into total chaos.
“Oh my, that is interesting.” Raising
an eyebrow to the entire scenario playing out Oberon looked to the terrified
Puck and waved the entire thing off. “For a moment though I thought you were
going to show us something that directly concerns us.”
Wincing and looking away Puck changed
the channel with a remote he plucked from his cloths, flicking past one scene
of carnage for another he finally found a channel that got EVERYONE’s
attention. In what used to be central park Fox, Titannia’s half-born daughter
had been transformed into an orange scaled dragoness, obscenely bloated and fat
and being mounted by two dragons at once, the formerly beautiful human moaned
and roared while she was plowed like an animal.
Turning with a steely glare that made
the colours in the floor, furniture and surrounding area where Puck cowered
blanch and peel the Queen of fairies spoke, causing the palace to shake. “YOU
ALLOWED MY DAUGHTER TO BE DEFILED BY THIS PROFANITY?!”
“Maybe…”
Causing a storm to erupt in the palace
walls Oberon merely huffed as his wife exploded with rage. “We are going to fix
this mess, return with my daughter and PUNISH you for your stupidity!”
“What are you going to do?”
“Oh I think maybe I should take a page
from our late Odin’s book hmm?” Pointing towards the wall Titannia Puck
followed her finger to the display case where Loki’s mask sat, a tiny brass
label underneath read: Loki; God of mischief and prince of Asgard, ass-hat extraordinaire.
“This will be quick!” With an explosion
of light, the queen of fairies disappeared, shaking his head with a smirk
Oberon looked to the shivering Puck and rolled his eyes. “Perhaps this will be
entertaining after all…” Joining his wife the King disappeared with her.
Looking to the rest of the crowd Puck
looked towards the corner where the weirding sisters giggled behind their
hands. “You’re gonna.” “Get it.” “Good!”
