One of the problems with being immortal was that one become jaded. Magics and amazements that would take the breath away from one with a normal lifespan became little more than mild interesting (in the best case) or utter tedium (in the worst) for one who counted their age in centuries. That was the fae tended to gravitate to a life of hedonism; it took a lot to startle and shock and interest them and thus they were forced to forever push the envelope. Lady Titana had once told him in private that in their early days Lord Oberon was quite a jolly fellow who happily interacted with the world while wearing a smile. His grim persona had only come about because of his age, as the wonders of the world became less appealing and the number of things that could truly shock him could be counted on a single hand.

The same was true for Puck. The days of getting his laughs from turning men's heads into asses and making his Lady Queen fall in love with such donkeys had given way to decades long con games. The one that had most drawn his attention was his role of Owen; playing the straight man still managed to tickle him and the fact that more people knew of his true status made the role more fun. He so enjoyed how the Clan and Fox acted around him, not quite sure how to behave. Oh, he knew that a time would come where Owen would be put away, when the game lost its fun, but for the moment he did enjoy himself.

The fact remained, however, that Puck was a trickster that had seen many things and there wasn't much that could get him to raise an eyebrow, let alone actually become concerned.

The sight of the Manhattan Clan engaging in a massive orgy in the middle of their castle was certainly something that had the trickster nervous.

"It was fun when it was just a few of you pairing off," Puck said to himself, keeping himself invisible... though he honestly wondered if the gargoyles would notice him even if he were there with a sombrero on his head and a full mariachi band backing him up (speaking of he really did need to talk to Q about getting his trumpet back). "Reminded me of the wedding between Theseus and Hippolyta. Now that was a party." Angela let out a roar that snapped Puck out of his musings. "But I certainly didn't expect things to get pear shaped like this!" He began to float around, mumbling to himself. "The detective utterly rejecting her humanity. Demona now on the side of the angels... or at least her version of it. Mating and rutting like mad! The eggs..." He allowed himself to use his mage-sight for just a second and his jaw dropped. "Oh... oh that won't be good." He floated over to Elisa and glared at her. "Seems it wasn't just the creation process that was sped up... whatever did you do, detective?" Elisa let out a scream and Puck regarded with a look so dry his Owen persona would have been proud. "Not that you are in the mood to tell me."

Floating up Puck looked down at the tangled mass of bodies and knew he needed to do something. Things were getting out of control fast and if he didn't get a handle on it he didn't know what would happen! And for a schemer like him that simply wouldn't do!

"Alright... so I need you bunch to stop mating before you fill the whole castle with eggs... and I need time to figure out what is going on and how to stop this. A distraction..." A lightbulb went off in his head and he nodded to himself. "That will work."

With a snap of his fingers he filled the entire banquet hall that sat across from the meeting hall with enough food to feed the clan for a year. All manner of foods from around the world were placed there.

"With how much energy you're burning you'll need it," he muttered, his last act to make the scent of the food begin drifting through the meeting hall.
