Kate awoke to a gentle breathing on the left side of her neck. Turning her head a bit, she spied a dark-haired young woman sleeping beside her. Atlee, her mind provided, also known as Terra and more commonly known in the general community as Power Girl's sidekick. "Hey," Kate said, gently shaking the woman, "wake up." Kate's voice pulsed with power and she brought her right hand to her mouth, feeling the desire and love in every word she had just spoken. Atlee woke up, yawning a bit and in that vocalization Kate realized what had happened to her had happened to her surprise bedmate as well.
"Hmmm? You're not Ka-I mean Powergirl."
"My name's Kate Kane." Atlee nodded at this, wondering why she wasn't so concerned that Kara was nowhere to be found. Kate's beauty, she decided a moment later, was the reason and soon enough found her kissing the redhead, the taste of her lips filling her. Kate responded with equal fervor, the kiss causing the collar around her neck to thrum. Wait, collar... Kate's eyes widened as she realized what exactly was going on. That woman, the power, the abilities she now had. The loving women she had yet to meet and the one currently loving her. She deepened the kiss, groping what she could of Atlee's rear, pressing their bodies tighter, before breaking apart. "We need to talk, Atlee."
"Why? When our bodies fit so well together?"
"There will be time for that later, but for now let's figure out what to do with our new powers. Besides, don't you want to see what other dear ones we can find?"
"Fine, but after one more kiss," Atlee replied, focusing just a bit of her elemental power and sending a gentle vibration through her lips and into Kate, causing the beautiful woman to moan. The kiss turned into a quick session of sex, both women coming at nearly the same time. But instead of the spent feeling both were used to feeling, instead they just felt more energy fill them.
Kate got to her feet, helping Atlee up with a firm hand. Both were in their bedroom clothes, consisting of an oversized T-shirt from Kara for Atlee and a silk nightgown for Kate. They didn't take the time to get further dressed as two loud cries of ecstasy rang out in another room in the apartment, the pair making their way towards the sound, hands entwined. Kate knew she had much to teach Atlee, and a feeling imprinted on her to do the same to the creators of those cries they were both walking towards. But there was no hesitation in her strides, no wavering or doubt. With the same poise and bravery she used in her crimefighting, Kate knew what lay before her was a chance to never feel alone again and to spare others from that pain. A course that would eventually lead to nothing but pure love, she was sure of it, quieting the part of her mind that wanted to get to the bottom of all this. She already knew, after all. She just had to see things through and with Atlee at her side and the voices ahead, she knew everything would be just fine.
