Bugsy turned a corner and ran down the deserted alleyway. The other side was blocked off, it was a dead end. In his younger days the crook might have tried to climb a fire escape, right now he struggled to catch his breath.
He was lucky he lived in a city with an Amazon instead of the Bat freak. As long as he didn’t say anything belittling to women she might just allow him to surrender without a beating.
“Release that woman’s purse, criminal scum.”
Bugsy eyed the fire escape again. Can Wonder Woman fly? He struggled to remember. Bugsy did not want to be caught violating his parole.
Getting more anxious, he tried rifling through the purse. Maybe there was a stun gun or some pepper spray, something he could defend himself with.
That’s when he found it. The coin was roughly the size of an old silver dollar. It had no faces engraved on it. Maybe it’s something valuable, the crook thought. He could hide it in his sock, and maybe the police wouldn’t strip search him. No, that’s a dumb idea.
The Amazon stepped towards him. She didn’t run, there was no need.
“Now Wonder Woman,” Said Bugsy. Before he could finish what he was saying, the coin started to glow. It grew hot and he dropped it to suck his thumb.
Something seemed to be pulled from Wonder Woman and into the coin. Wonder Woman transformed before his eyes. Her hair tied itself back in a tight bun. glassed appeared on her face. She now wore a fashionable, but not too sexy business pants suit. Though Bugsy still did not know her name, she had reverted into the identity of Diana Prince.
Wonder Woman’s image appeared on the top side of the coin.
Confused, Bugsy approached the woman. The woman stepped back, not necessarily afraid, but suddenly cautious of the large brutish man.
“What have we here?”
“Don’t come any closer. I’ll scream.” Diana tried not to show any fear.
“Did you lose yur powers.”
“Powers? What powers.”
“You was Wonder Woman a second ago.”
“Wonder Woman, who’s that? Sir, are you on the drugs?”
